The purpose of this competency is to achieve the goals of control, i.e. to:
- review performance against baselines;
- evaluate the effect of actual performance on future plans;
- take action as required to achieve planning targets or agree revised targets.
Performance criteria You must be able to: |
| Control techniques vary considerably according to the complexity and context of the work. This general competency could be used as a basis for several context-sensitive competencies within a single tailored version of Praxis. For example ‘Exercise project control’ or ‘Exercise programme control’ could be significantly different; or perhaps control on traditional (waterfall) projects will focus on schedule and cost whereas control of agile projects will focus on deliverables within time boxes. |
